Whakarewarewa Forest, also known as The Redwoods, is a mecca for mountain bikers. With over 150 kilometers of continually evolving trails, Rotorua is renowned as a premier riding destination. The forest offers master-crafted trails with varying topography, unbeatable riding surfaces, and fantastic scenery.

There are trails here that suit everyone from beginners, young children and family groups to experts seeking extreme action.

There are several entrance points to the forest but this one is located in a Redwood tree plantation, where the popular tree walk attraction is located.
